I'm amazed by how often or how furiously people insist that feathers are such a radical, game-changing thing for some dinosaurs. That a minor texture tweak makes them unrecognizable.

True, a lot of modern paleoart lacks that painted, muddy, earthy quality that so many of our favorite classical dinosaur illustrations had. But here we are right here! It's a couple of feathered dinosaurs who don't look a BIT less earthly or reptilian. It's that wonderful old style applied to a slightly more modern reconstruction, and it looks great.

Not sure if a multi-ton biped would want to try to kick...

Well we can always speculate that this was an unintentional. Deino wanted to have a chat with Mr Tarbo here, when he slip on a Cretaceous banana peel, accidentaly putting a vicious kick in Tarbo's face.

Well, if Deinocheirus slipped (and just happened to kick Tarbosaurus), that could prove fatal if it fell. So it then wouldn't be a bad situation for just the tyrannosaur.

Oh, and just in case, I'm not trying to be hostile or anything.

True. And I don't feel you're hostile. Deinocheirus here is, intentionally or unintentionally.

So natural scene! And the painting style is very organic!
Is the dead one on the ground another Deinocheirus or just a simply carcass which claimed by Deinos from Tarbo?

There's a real sense of weight and movement here, which is always important for organic subjects!
