Jagua Vieja Formation fauna

depiction of late Jurassic fauna recorded in the Jagua Vieja formation of Western Cuba.
Here portrayed are camarasaurid sauropod, rhamphorhynchid pterosaurs above the surface. Below it you find the primitive pleurodiran turtle Caribemys oxfordiensis, the cryptoclidian plesiosaur Vinialesaurus caroli, a marine crocodile, ammonites, the pliosaurid Gallardosaurus iturraldei and an ophthalmosaurian ichthyosaur.

This was done for Yasmani Ceballos Izquierdo ~Vinialesaurus, for his scientific research on Cuban Jurassic vertebrates.
